- n your sketchbook, either tone (with ink, paint, or even coffee/tea) two double-pagevspreads or paste toned paper onto your sketchbook pages
- On these four pages, make at least six studies from observation

- Black & white conté, charcoal pencils, hard eraser, chamois, four toned sketchbook pages
